Message from the Chairman

Dear Shareholders,

2010 was marked by very strong sales and a substantial improvement in our financial results. The housing market was boosted by government measures in favor of first-time buyers and investors, low interest rates and a return to the view among the French that real estate represents a safe investment.

2011 is off to a good start with our substantial order backlog.

New measures set up in 2011 to support the housing market, the zero-interest "plus" loan (PTZ+ or Prêt à Taux Zéro "plus") and the Scellier incentives should continue to prove effective in a market characterized by a weak commercial offer. As for prices, there should be no significant increases, especially since interest rates are expected to rise slightly.

Against such a backdrop, Kaufman & Broad management begins 2011 with confidence and resolve, in spite of a still difficult economic and social environment.
